I remember back in the 80’s, as a kid, every year, we used to love going to the fair and go on the rides, eat candy apples and cotton candy and feel dizzy. Then teenage hit and it was a whole new experience, girls girls girls, Rock ‘n’ Roll and heavy metal music playing in the kiosques. We understood a bit more what goes on behind the scenes that we didn’T really notice as kids. The workers in those kiosques that try to attract you to their booth to win a teddy bear for the girl seemed like ex-prisoners dealers or simply torn up blokes with a few teeth missing. It was a blast of a night. It also announced the end of summer and back to school.
So last night I went to the fair only to noticed that the only thing that has changed is the calendar year. and because of The Netflix series, “Stranger Things” well the style of the teenagers wasn’t all that different from my teen years. It was a nice nostalgic blast through the past.
