Born in the early 70’s on the east coast of Canada, Jean-François discovered his passion for photography at a young age when his parents went to the local photo studio to buy a camera. That’s when he saw those intriguing machines for the first time and was then captivated by the sounds cameras make, the whining, clicking and the sound of the shutter opening and closing. To learn about photography he would flip the pages of National Geographic and fashion magazines and dreamed of becoming a traveller photographer and story writer. It wasn’t until much later in his life that he was able to pursue that art form, having gone from musician to web designer, amongst other professions.
In the early 2000’s he decided to go back to college where he learned photography, videography and all the editing techniques that come with the trade. By 2012 he was getting more serious about becoming a full-time photographer so he went back to studying photography, through online photography and videography courses until he was confident enough to transform that longtime passion into a career.
Working with Jean-Francois is a very pleasant experience, he is renown for his optimistic, friendly, courteous and professional attitude.
